Terri has earned the title of one of the industry's most knowledgeable technicians and sought after instructors of IPL™ technology today. She now offers her experience to doctors, clinics & their staff, as an educator in the different techniques of using the IPL™ Laser technology systems along with helping you to build your practice through creative marketing.
Terri is located in Birmingham, Alabama acting as the clinical director of Varicosity-a medical spa and training center.
Terry's Background
I began my medical career in a very busy cosmetic surgery center as a Surgical Medical Assistant. My responsibilities included, but were not limited to, assisting in the OR as well as performing the pre-op exam and post surgical care with a special focus on the skin care needs of laser skin resurfacing patients. To better help my patients, I took advanced courses on skin care to expand my knowledge and expertise. I fell in love with the skin care industry and have continued to expand and grow in this specialized field.
Having eight years of experience in the skin care industry specializing in microdermabrasion, laser hair removal, Cool Touch, Intense Pulse Light™, BOTOX®, collagen, laser vein removal and performing pre and post surgical care, I have focused my energies in perfecting parameters and developing technique finesse for Intense Pulse Light™. Just recently I again attended advanced training in the latest techniques of treating darker skin types, along with the newest practices in using the IPL™ and Nd:YAG laser to treat wrinkles and leg veins.
Using my experience, I have also successfully developed and expanded several skin care practices, taking a proactive approach in creative marketing opportunities and recently designed a medical aesthetician curriculum for one of the top five rated schools in the nation, the Euro Institute of Beauty. Also, I am currently a national trainer in skin care procedures and products and the author of several training manuals on Intense Pulse Light™ and microdermabrasion.
